Today I think of the families of the 13 American men who would
be celebrating their 65th birthday today had they not died in the
service of our country in Vietnam. They came from all corners of the country
and were between the ages of 19 and 21 when they died. Two were married; none had
children. They are:
- Corporal Herman Allen Clay Jr.; Army; Richmond, TX; died April 9, 1970
- PFC Joseph Nicholas Decker; Marine Corps; Springfield, OH; March 3, 1969
- Sergeant Everson Benjamin Faison; Army; Conway, SC; November 14, 1969
- Specialist 5 Fernando Figeroa; Army; Chicago, IL; January 24, 1972
- Corporal Alan Harry Gross; Army; Warren, MI; May 23, 1970
- Sergeant Charles Rickey Harris; Army; Lake Cormorant, MS; July 25, 1971
- PFC Harold Franklin Hysmith; Marine Corps; Jasper, FL; October 16, 1969
- PFC Victor Modesto Jouvert; Marine Corps; New York, NY; February 22, 1969
- PFC Claude Charles Kasiah; Marine Corps; Pine Bluff, AR; June 18, 1969
- PFC Michael Lee Krom; Army; Twain, CA; July 10, 1969
- Sergeant Charles Paul Montross; Army; Warminster, PA; February 11, 1971
- Specialist 4 Ronald Jay Peters; Army; Bethlehem, PA; April 18, 1971
- PFC John Francis Quinn; Marine Corps; El Paso, TX; April 26, 1969
Corporal Herman Allen Clay Jr served with the B-2/501st Inf (101st ABN Div) in Vietnam. We have a memorial page for him on our website. http://www.b2501airborne.com/Clay.htm
ReplyDeleteSure wish we had a photo of him. Thanks for remembering him with honor, as we do
